NYC, Department of Buildings and DOT release heating options for restaurants participating in the Open Restaurants ProgramAs previously announced, the Open Restaurants Program will continue year-round. In an effort to keep guests dining in the cold months ahead, NYC, together with FDNY and DOB, has released outdoor heating guidelines designed to make guests more comfortable.

Aside from the guidelines issued by NYC, both the Department of Buildings and FDNY have their own set of criteria that must be followed by all food service operators planning to use heating devices as the weather gets colder.
